First, you are going to want to make sure that the factory crossbars on your 2003 Dodge Durango are 3-1/2 inches wide or less for the SportRack J-Stacker Kayak Carrier, # SR5511, to fit. This carrier comes with tie-downs and straps that you will attach to the bow and stern of the kayak and to the front and rear of the vehicle to secure the kayak. I have included a picture showing the tie-downs and straps.
To make securing the tie-downs easier to attach to the vehicle, you can install some hood loops, # TH529 and/or # TH529. I have included a link to a video review of # TH529 for you.
