Can these be used for boat ramp launching/recovering?

Question:

I have a RWD SUV, towing a combined boat/trailer weight of ~1600lbs. If I ped these behind my rear tires and backed up on top of them, would that provide me extra traction on slippery boat ramps? Or are these not designed for that type of use?

Absolutely the Tire Grip Vehicle Traction Recovery Track # 288-07411 can be used for extra traction on a boat ramp. They can be used virtually on any surface to help improve traction. We even had a customer write a review saying that's what they use it for. Having that extra security is really nice, and when you don't need them you can store them in the back by your spare tire.

They do come as a single piece # 288-07411, and as a set # 288-07411-2

I linked a review video for you to check out.
