Is Replacing Washers Required for Annual Maintenance of Sidewinder
Question:
When doing the annual maintenance is it required to replace the conical washers?

Expert Reply:
When doing annual maintenance of your Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret # RP34FR, replacing the six conical washers is not required. You simply want to take it apart once annually to properly clean and lubricate it while inspecting the parts to ensure they are all in good working order. If you notice that any parts look like they need replacing you can do it at the time, but it is not an annual requirement.
