Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2017 Ram 1500 Towing Grand Design Transcend
Question:
I am about to purchase a travel camper. UVW: 7,195 lbs Hitch Weight: 709 lbs Grand Design Transcend. I have factory 4 corner air suspension. Is this oK Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW

Weight distribution is totally fine to be used with a tow vehicle that has air suspension. Since the unloaded tongue weight of the travel trailer you are considering is 709 lb I would recommend a higher rated system than the Fastway you mentioned that has an 800 lb tongue weight max. Instead I recommend the part # FA92-00-1000. The best way to pick out weight distribution is to go with the system where you loaded tongue weight falls right into the middle of it's range. Keep in mind that tongue weight includes any weight from cargo behind the tow vehicle's rear axle. Only other thing you'll need is a thin walled socket like part # ALL643216 to install the hitch ball and you'd be set!
