Determining Water Heater Brand on 1985 Holiday Rambler 5th Wheel For Use with Hott Rod # DGR10VP

Question:

I own a 1985 Holiday Rambler Aluma-Lite Fifth Wheel and I was wondering if the hot water heater was made by Atwood, Dometic, Suburban, American, or More Flo? Im wanting to install the Hott Rod Water Heater Conversion Kit, will that be compatible with that camper?

Based on what I can see in the picture you attached of your Holiday Rambler's water heater, it appears to be an American model system. If this is the case then the Hott Rod RV Water Heater Conversion Kit # DGR10VP you referenced will be compatible to convert it to an electric setup (assuming you have the 10 gallon tank).

With that being said, I do still recommend trying to verify your water heater brand. Unfortunately trailer manufacturers don't do the best job of making information like this readily available. If you aren't able to locate any model numbers or brand names on the unit itself, what you can try doing is contacting Holiday Rambler directly with your VIN. With this number they should hopefully be able to provide some specifics on the trailer, including what brand water heater would have been installed at the factory.
