Easier to Install 5th Wheel Hitch for 2015 Chevy Silverado Towing Lippert Turning Point Trailer

Question:

I’m towing a Grand Design Reflection 150 class 295RL with a GVWR of 10,200#. This line utilizes the Lippert “Turning Point” pin box. Is the Andersen Ultimate Fifth wheel hitch with rails kit compatible with the Turning Point. I like this hitch for its weight and ease of moving it in and out of the bed.

The Andersen Ultimate fifth wheel rail kit adapters can't be used with pivoting pin boxes like what your Grand Design Reflection 150 295RL has and since you have a short bed wouldn't be able to get by with locking out the pin box so that it no longer pivots with the Andersen. So your best option is going to be a fixed hitch that can break down into smaller sections like the B and W Patriot part # BWRVK3200 which happens to be a bit lighter weight at 147 lbs with a standard rail kit like the # BWRVK2506. The Patriot is only option that has really easy to use grab handles on the base to make lifting it out of the rail kit easier.
