Do Trailer Brake Lights Come on When Using Manual Override of Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller

Question:

Can this comply with towing in California? State requires that the brake lights are on when the trailer brakes are in use to my understanding. I would assume that it would work in our wacky state. Thanks

So in California, the issue is that your trailer's brake lights need to illuminate when the manual override on your electric brake controller is activated. I reached out to Curt to ask if them if the trailer's brake lights come on when using the manual override of the Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180 and they confirmed that yes, those lights do come on.
