Does Exhaust Tip Length Affect Exhaust Tone/Volume

Question:

tell me how sound will be affected if i decide to go with magnaflow 18inch long 2.5inch in and 3.5 inch out tip, compared to a twelve inch long tip, same model

Exhaust tips really don't make that much of a difference in the sound of the engine since they are straight through. I'd go with the length and diameter that fits your needs the best on your vehicle.
