Is Braking System Really Needed To Flat Tow Small Chevy HHR Behind Motorhome

Question:

Do I really need a brake buddy to tow a 3,000 HHR behind my F53 class A Georgie Boy.

Even for a lighter vehicle like your Chevy HHR that weighs just about 3,000 pounds, a supplemental braking system like the Brake Buddy Classic 3 # HM39494 is actually now required by law in almost every state. You will want to verify any local laws for states you plan to travel through, but based on my research all but 7 states require a supplemental braking system if the towed vehicle weighs 3,000 pounds or more.

The Brake Buddy Classic that you referenced is a great solution for this. It's an easy to use, portable system that will physically press down on the brake pedal inside the HHR for safe and effective braking. Even with a large motorhome and small toad, a braking system will also still provide a noticeable improvement in ride quality during your trips.

I have attached a short video review on the Brake Buddy below that you can also check out.
