Mounting a Reese 15 K 5th Wheel Hitch on a 2011 F-350 Super Duty Long Bed
Question:
I have a 15K Reese 5th wheel Hitch on my 1997 F-250 Ford Super Duty Long Bed. My new 2011 Ford F350 has the trailer package. Can I use the same rail kit off my 1997 Ford or will I need an adapter to mount the 15K hitch?

I would recommend using the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter, # RP30156, if your 2011 Ford F350 Super Duty long bed came with the factory tow prep package.
You could install the rail kit from your 1997 Ford F-250 on your 2011 F-350 if it uses the universal fit brackets, but that will require you to uninstall the underbed rails from the factory tow prep package and drilling additional holes into your truck bed and that could be more hassle than it is worth.
