Can the Hubs Be Reused When Switching from Electric to Hydraulic Brakes On An AL-KO 10K Axle

Question:

Can you use the same hubs from your electric brakes on a 10,000 pound alco axle when you convert to hydrolic brakes?

Generally speaking, you can reuse the hubs when switching from electric to hydraulic brakes or vice versa. There is no difference in the hub but you do need to be sure the braking assemblies are the same size. The Hayes/AL-KO Hydraulic Brake Kit part # K23-524-00-2 is my recommendation for hydraulic drum brakes and should work with your existing hubs no problem just be sure to verify the size of the drum and make sure it's 12-1/4" x 3-1/2".

If you can provide more info on the trailer such as the type (5th wheel, travel, etc.) and number of axles (tandem, triple etc.) I would be glad to provide a list of all other parts needed.
