Does Fan-Tastic Vent Cover Allow Fan Lid to Open All the Way

Question:

I purchased the UB1500WH for my Fan-Tastic fan. It is not tall enough to allow the vent to open all the way.

I'm glad you asked because this is actually a question that comes up pretty frequently.

All Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vents, like # FV802250 use a 14-1/4 x 14-1/4-inch lid, but the lid does not fully open 90 degrees. It's limited by the lift arm and the channel on which it slides, as shown in the attached photo.

With the Fan-Tastic Vent Cover # FVU1500WH installed, you may not be able to open the lid as far as the lift arm will allow 100%, but it will be open most of the way, which is enough for the vent to fulfill its purpose. This is going to be the case for all Fan-Tastic Vent Covers, which are 10-1/4 inches tall (linked below).
