Troubleshooting Air Lift Wireless Air Compressor Remote that Drains Batteries

Question:

I have the AirLift Kit 72000 and the Wireless Remote 73002. My batteries die within 3 days. What would cause that, and what do you recommend? Thanx!

The wireless remote on your Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System 72000 is supposed to enter into sleep mode after 30 seconds of inactivity. So, if everything on the display is staying lit up, that will inevitably cause the batteries to die pretty quickly.

You'll want to make sure the remote is not stored inside a place where a button could unintentionally be pressed or stay pressed. Otherwise, if your controller is out in the open and it does not go into sleep mode after 30 seconds, try changing the pressure by 1-2 PSI. The controller should then enter sleep mode after 30 seconds.

If this doesn't work, it means there is an internal issue and it will need to be replaced. The Replacement Wireless Remote for Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System, part # AL73002, which you were looking at, is the correct replacement. To pair the new remote to the compressor, simply follow the steps outlined on page 16 of the attached Installation Guide.
