I've got a couple of solutions for you. There isn't a vehicle specific Kat's Heater made for your 2016 Ford Edge with the 3.5 L but I do have a couple of other options that will workout well. These are designed to attach directly to your oil pan the Kat's Heaters Oil/Transmission Pan Heating Pad - 4" x 5" - 120V - 250W - part # KH26250 is one you can attach permanently using the provided adhesive or you can choose to go with the Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Heater - 120V - 5" x 4-1/4" part # KH1190 This one you can attach when needed and store away for the summer when you don't. I've included a video that we did here for you to check out. These come in several sizes so if these are a little too large you can go with a slightly smaller size. The installation process is straight forward on these.
On the Kat's Heaters Ether Start Fluid Injection System - 1.6L to 4.9L Engine - 12V - Push Button part # KH33112 the toughest part of the installation is getting the bracket mounted. The wiring is very straight forward and instructions are clear. I haven't had the opportunity to install one of these yet but I say around an hour and a half at a leisurely pace and you would have it knocked out
