Can Speed of FV802250 Fan-Tastic Roof Vent Fan be Manually Controller in Auto Mode

Question:

A couple of questions: 1. When you use the thermostat mode auto i believe, can you still control the fans speed settings. So basically i dont want the fan to run faster than say speed level one but do want it to come on and off based on temperature. 2. I do not have 12 volt power to the roof in my cargo trailer nor do i have a battery/converter setup. I do have a 110 light fixture right beside the vent. Would it be possible to power the roof vent using a really good plug in 12 volt adapter rated for 5amps? I was thinking if I wire an outlet off the ceiling light i could simply plug in the 12 volt adapter and then connect the 12 volt side to the fantastic vent. I would use an adapter that is rated for in wall installation even though it would be also mounted on the inside ceiling. I do understand in my scenario i would need the ceiling light on to operate the fan, but thats ok. Thanks..

When the Fan-Tastic # FV802250 is in 'auto' mode, the fan speed cannot be controlled with the fan speed switch. The fan pulls 3-1/2 amps on high speed, so the 5 amp 12-volt power supply you mentioned would be perfect. If you'd care to see a product description video, click the provided link.
