5th Wheel Hitch for 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed With B&W Gooseneck

Question:

I have a 2016 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax crew cab with short bed. I installed a B&W gooseneck system several years ago. I still need and use it. I do not want to remove the B&W gooseneck system. However, I want to add the underbed 5th wheel rail system with the pucks since I use the bed on a daily basis. If need I can provide pictures. Question: Which system do you recommend?

There is definitely a way you can tow a 5th wheel trailer with your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed which already has the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1016-5W, although there isn't an underbed system with pucks which will work because there isn't a way to have both the gooseneck and another rail system installed on your truck.

The good news is, the option you do have is to get the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider # BWRVK3400-5W, which is considered by many to be the highest-quality fifth wheel hitch in the industry. The hitch installs directly into the Turnoverball gooseneck, which acts as the underbed rail system you wanted.

The reason the Companion is such a high-quality hitch is because of its prodigious, 1 inch thick jaw system that reduces the noise, chucking and jarring more than any other hitch. This means you will get the most comfortable and quiet towing experience possible.

Since you need to remove the hitch, I also recommend the B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device # BWRVXA3130 with the Viking Solutions Rack Jack II Hoist with Winch for 2" Hitches # 310-VRJ001.

I have added links to video reviews of these parts for you to check out as well.
