also it does not have a suction cup for the monitor, it has a peel off adhesive mount. it says suction cup? how do you hook up the cigarrette adapter to the monitor?

The Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System part # RVS-2CAM comes with a 7" TFT LCD color display monitor that has a cigarette lighter style plug so there is not need to hook up the adapter like you mention. The monitor has a suction cup mount not an adhesive mount. I have attached a video for your reference.
