Installing Redarc 331-BCDC1240D DC to DC Battery Charger For Charging Trailer Mounted Winch Battery
Question:
I want to use this product to charge a 100 amp hour battery I have for a trailer mounted winch. Do I simply run the power input wire to the constant supply on the 7 pin? If so, what is the recommended way to connect?

The small gauge wire feeding the 12-v supply feed to the 7-way wouldn't have enough capacity to power the charger, the
charger would need to connect directly to the tow vehicle battery using 4 gauge wire, according to the instructions I've linked to and the installation diagrams I've provided. You'll also need a fuse kit like # 331-FK60.
