On Road Tire Chains For 2014 Ram 3500 SRW With 35x12.5x18 Tires

Question:

I there, I am looking for on road tire chains or cables for my 2014 ram 3500 SRW. I have 35x12.5x18 tires on the truck with not a lot of clearance on the front. When I turn at full lock the tires rub the control arms. I would probably only be using these on the hwy passes so this wont be to much of a problem. Thanks for your help.

Since you are already rubbing the tires on your current setup there could be damage if contact is made so you will want to make sure you have adequate clearance for any chain.

The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2539 is my recommendation. They have a link thickness of 0.216" (5.5 mm. This tire chain utilizes a square link design but are arranged in a diamond pattern instead of a ladder pattern which smooths out your ride. This would be preferable especially for the on road application you're describing. The manganese nickel alloy construction is rust resistant and a reusable storage case is also included for storing for future use.

When installing you make one connection around the tire and then pull a tensioner to make them tight. You definitely want to test install these at home a few times versus on the side of the road trying to figure it out.
