Can the Air Line Fittings On the Firestone Airbags F2596 for a 2015 Chevy 2500 Be Reused

Question:

I was looking at the Firestone Air Bag Kit Part #2596 and had a question regarding the shark bite type fitting for the air lines at both ends. If I connect everything as a manual fill system with the air fill valves at the rear of vehicle, then later decide to add a compressor system, can those air lines be pulled out without damaging the connectors at the bag valve and at the fill valve? I am ok with using new airline or trimming the ends off, I just want to make sure the connectors are reusable for future. Thank you.

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2596 which are a fit for a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 use push to connect air line fittings. The push to connect air line fittings do not damage the air line nor does the air line damage the push to connect fitting. I have personally used these same air line fittings for many years frequently removing and then reinstalling the air line without any issue. The air line would also not need to be re-cut unless a leak occurs. Therefore, you will have no issue running the air line to the manual inflation valve, then removing and running to an air compressor when you choose.

If you don't already have an air compressor system in mind, the Air Command F3 Compressor System part # F2589 is what I recommend as it is wireless so you don't have to run any wires or air lines into the cab
