Can Blue Ox Weight Distribution System be Used Without Arms for Unloaded Trailer
Question:
WEIGHT DISTRIBUTING HITCH. I have a Blue Ox WDH. It is the lightest one they make BXW0350. The hitch will be installed on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline and a utility trailer. My question is If the trailer is not loaded 1100 lbs., do I just not use the bars and remove them. When loading the trailer, install the bars? the trailer will approach the 5000 lbs. limit when fully loaded.

If you have an unloaded trailer and no need for the spring bars of the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 3,500 lbs GTW, 350 lbs TW # BXW0350 then you can just remove the spring bars and the system will essentially just be a large ball mount.
