Installation of Bully Black Bull Adjustable Side Steps  

Question:

I think I understand how to mount the steps but I dont know why I need to brackets that came with them. What are the brackets for?? 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cap

The Bully Black Bull Adjustable Side Steps # BBS-1101S-2 teps attach to your vehicle's rocker panels with sturdy aluminum mounting brackets (that you're referencing), for added strength. Installation requires that you drill holes through the pinch weld flange and the body metal at the bottom and/or underside of the rocker panel. The brackets are there to provide a little bit of extra strength and stability and although you may be able to install them without using the brackets, it is recommended for this reason.

Just tried to put them on 2002 ford f350 crew cab . There is a frame under seats that's in the way . How do I fix that .
