Expert Reply:

The fuses that are required to be removed for flat towing a 2011 Cadillac SRX (BCM1, BCM2 and BCM3) all correspond to components that will drain the battery during flat towing with the way that the vehicle is configured. If you don't remove those fuses, in most cases (tows over 50 miles) the components draw enough power from the battery in that time period that your battery will be dead by the time you reach your destination. This is simply done as a precaution to avoid draining your toad's battery and potentially needing to replace it more frequently than normal.

Roadmaster recommends using the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 and # RM76512 on your 2011 Cadillac SRX to help bypass the first 2 fuses in the system and make it so you would only need to disconnect the BCM3 fuse.
