I checked with Thule and the OutWay 2 Trunk Mounted Bike Rack # TH45JV is a confirmed fit for your 2012 BMW 328i 4 door.
If you plan on transporting women's or alternative framed bikes you might also be interested in purchasing a Thule Adapter Bar # TH982XT. This product provides a horizontal bar from the seat post to the handlebars to make installing a hanging bike rack much easier. I attached a review video for this product as well.
