On the Surco 2 Bike Ladder Mount Carrier, part # SP501BR, the distance between the arms will be determined by the width of your ladder on your RV. This part is two separate arms that are attached individually to each side of the ladder. So you would need to measure the width of your ladder to determine the width between the swing arms.
I am including a link to a FAQ page on choosing a bike rack for a motor home or RV.
