Which Hubs Do I Need For 2,200 lb Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System
Question:
Wondering if this Dexter hub DX98XR will work this Timbren Axle-less setup ASR1THDS01. If so, will it allow the use of 15inch wheels with larger off-road tires sizes such as 33inch or 35?

Expert Reply:
Yes the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR1THDS01 will work with Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 84545UC1-EZ.
The idler hub can mount a 15" wheel, and has a 5 on 4 1/2" bolt pattern for the lugs which are 1/2" in diameter. So if your wheels are 15", have the same bolt pattern and diameter lug nuts it will definitely work. As far as the height of the tire, it will only effect fitment if there is a fender or other piece of trailer in the way.
If you want trailer brakes, then I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K along with self adjusting brake assemblies # AKEBRK-35-SA.
