How to Wire Truck Tailgate With Connector Cut Off
Question:
I bought a light bar for my tailgate but the 4-pin connector was cut off of the light so I was curious how to wire it up to my 04 Colorado I included a picture on this one

On the 4 pole on your Colorado, the right turn/brake lamp circuit is fed by the green wire, the left turn/brake circuit is fed by the yellow wire, the running lamp circuit is fed by the brown wire and the white wire is the ground. From what I can see, the wires on the Bully Fire Strip aren't really color coded, but it appears that the ground wire has a white stripe on it. So your best bet would be to use a 12 volt power source like a car battery, ground the wire with the white stripe to the battery's negative terminal and then apply power to the other wires one at a time. The running lamp circuit will light the whole bar, and the right/left turn will light up one or the other sides.
