I confirmed with Kat's that the Kat's Heaters Custom Engine Block Heater - Frost Plug Style # KH11479 is a fit for your 2006 Hyundai Sonata with a 3.3L V6 engine. The correct location to install this plug is in the "RC" or right center location as in the accompanying diagram from Kat's. This location should be accessible from the top after removing the cover that is on the engine.
