Rack for 2009 Dodge Durango to Carry Ladders

Question:

Thanks for your reply. I like the item you steered me in. In addition, is there any attachment that I could put on the rail (sticking up)that would stop the ladder from sliding over the edge and could bump up against. Obviously, tying it down but I also like the idea of having the side "pegs". Thanks

The MaxxTow Van Ladder Rack MT70440 won't work with a 2009 Dodge Durango but we may have a different option for you to consider. To help carry your ladders, if your Durango has the factory installed side rails, I recommend simply adding an inexpensive roof rack, the Curt Roof Rack Crossbars for Raised Side Rails # C18118, which has crossbars that are 53-3/8" long, or the longer 58" bars of the Malone SteelTop Roof Rack # MPG202.

I have added links to video reviews of both options for you to take a look at.

There is an option for you to use load stops, but the Curt Roof Rack # C18118 for your Durango are aero bars but don't have T-slots, which is needed for load stops on that shape of bars. What you can do instead is use a square rack that fits your Durango, like the Malone SteelTop Roof Rack # MPG202 I mentioned, or the Inno Square Crossbars # INB117 and Inno Feet for Square Crossbars # INFR along with the Thule Load Stops for Load Bars # TH503 which will fit around these bars and support your ladders.
