Troubleshooting Lamp On Kwikee RV Step Not Working

kwikee step light black wire has no power it comes from the control 1box 909513 step works fine just no power to the light thanks

According to Lippert, the black wire you refer to is indeed what powers the lamp. If you're not seeing power on that wire leading to the lamp, the most likely cause is that the circuits in the control module that send power to that lamp have failed and the module would need to be replaced if you're wanting the lamp to work. A poor ground connection is a secondary but less likely cause. The lamp gets its ground connection via one of its mounting bolts. If the bolt or the metal to metal connection between the step housing and the RV is badly corroded, it'll prevent the lamp from working and could explain why you're not picking up any voltage on the wire feeding the lamp.

The # LC379606 is the correct replacement for the 909513 control box you specified.
