Best Snow Chain for 2018 Honda Accord with P235/40R19 Tire Size for Clearance  

Question:

this car has P235/40R19 tires, and the owners manual says it wont work with tire chains. whats your experience / recommendation? thanks in advance.

What we have found that is if you contact a Honda dealer in an area that has tire chain requirement laws (near mountains) they will have alternatives that they can recommend which will give you a snow chain setup that's safe for the vehicle and will work great for traction.

That said the K-Summit chains part # th02230k34 that you referenced offers the best clearance by far as it does not drape over the inner sidewall of the tire which is where the interference typically is. I am very confident that if you showed this style of chain to a Honda dealer they'd say it would be fine since the clearance required is basically non-existent. This will be your best option in that regard and these are very easy to install and last a long time too so they win in other areas as well.

I attached a picture that shows that no inner clearance is required.
