Recommended Helper Spring Option for 2019 Ram 2500

Question:

My 2019 Ram 2500 rides like a buckboard whenever I carry a load in the truck bed. What helper spring option should I use?

I really like the air spring option, because you can fine tune the amount of air pressure in the system to customize your ride firmness any way you want, which isn't an option with the jounce-bumper style options like Timbrens that have no adjustability. You didn't mention exactly what you'd be carrying, but I'd recommend the heavy duty Firestone system, part # F2706 which works great on vehicles that don't already have air suspensions. It's also compatible with fifth wheel or gooseneck hitches, so if you wanted to do some heavy duty towing in the future the mounting brackets wouldn't interfere. The air suspension would also work great handling the pin weight of a fifth wheel or goosneck trailer.

I'd also recommend considering a compressor system like # F2219. A compressor system would allow you to add or remove air from the system as needed from the truck cab without having to hunt down a gas station that has a compressor that isn't broken.

I've linked to a video showing the air suspension system I recommended being installed on a 2018 Ram 2500 and a typical install video for the compressor kit.
