Pin Height Difference Between 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler and Lippert 1621
Question:
I want to replace the Lippert 1621SHD pinbox that is on my Prime Time Mfg Spartan 3712X toy hauler with a cushioned hitch. I purchased a Lippert Trailair Flex from another supplier but found when I went to install it that the pin height on the Trailair Flex was 7 “ lower than the pin height on the 1621SHD. This would raise the front of the trailer way too much. I already have my Demco Hijacker hitch set as low as it will go. Thus my question in the subject line. Any recommendations you can provide are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler part # 5AB-E1621-610 measures about 6" from the bottom of the skid plate to the lowermost mounting hole which will be the same if not very similar to that of the Lippert 1621 OEM. Therefore, the height will remain the same so you don't have to worry about the nose of the trailer sitting too high. The dimensions of the 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler are mirrored to the Lippert 1621 OEM.
I have attached a photo with some dimensions for you as well.
