Troubleshooting 12V Power Pin on a 2011 GMC Sierra 7-Way Connector
Question:
No power at the 7-Way battery charge pin on my 2007 GMC Sierra. The 12v power to the 7-way receptacle is connected as indicated in the instructions in 322858 and a 40 amp fuse in fuse block which tested good, however there is still no voltage to 7-way. The 7-way checks good, however there is no continuity to 7-way from the m-8 stud. The wire at the fuse block is Red/Black and is Black at the 7-way, is there a connector in-between or something that would cause the problem?

There must be damage to the circuit somewhere between the pin of the 7-way and the fuse box like you checked. You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2997 to check to see if the 7-way is the problem by testing the wiring of the circuit behind the 7-way. If there's voltage or continuity there but not when you test through the connector the issue is the 7-way. It could be a matter of just cleaning the pin with some sandpaper or you could replace the whole thing with # HM40975 if it appears to be in bad shape.
