The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX3231 is a suitable base plate for the 2007 Pontiac G6 Convertible. The Blue Ox Base plate is a nice choice that features removable base plate tabs for a discreet install. The Blue Ox Base plate is only compatible with the following Blue Ox Tow Bars: Acclaim, Adventurer, Aladdin, Allure, Alpha, Avail, Aventa, and Trion tow bars so you do wan't to be sure you have one of those tow bars to use this base plate.
If you do not have a Blue Ox Tow Bar, I recommend Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar part # BX7420 which is a non-binding tow bar that features latches to release the tension in the bars to unhook the tow vehicle even when the setup is not completely level. This bar also comes with safety cables so you won't need those separately.
To flat tow the Pontiac you will also need tow bar wiring, supplemental braking system and possibly a high low adapter. Please let me know if you need additional parts.
