Can the Super Titan 4000 be Installed without the Spacer Plates?

Question:

Hi there, if not i tended to use to the max capacity more on the flexibility of the tubes, can be mounted with only bottom spacers? The frame on my truck tapers have a small dovetail witch will impede the use of the top spacers, thanks

When installing the Reese Super Titan # 38208 the spacer plates are optional and should be used as needed; the spacer tubes contribute to the structural integrity of the installed hitch, so you will need to make sure they are mounted inside the frame channels.

If you're looking for something that provides you a number of different mounting locations for a ball mount, you may want to consider a traditional hitch and a Gen-Y Ball Mount like the # 325-GH-1224; Gen-Y makes ball mounts for 2", 2-1/2" and 3" hitches, so they're available for a number of applications.

I have attached a photo of the installation instructions for you to see the different parts and how the Reese Titan installs. If you can let me know a bit more about your truck and what size hitch receiver you're looking for I can help you find a suitable alternative to the Titan if you're not sure you can make it work.
