Goal Zero Battery Yeti to Power CPAP Machine

Question:

Motorhome and boondock. Need a battery that will last 8 hrs for 2 people each on a 4.0 air setting with heated hose on 70 deg. Res med airsense 10. Has a 90Watt brick. Plan to use 12vdc output but only see one cigarette lighter plug....would the yeti 1400 or 1250 work?

Expert Reply:

The power info on your 90 watt brick states that it would draw up to 1.5 amps when in use so if you had two of these running you'd need something that could provide up to 3 amps for 8 hours. That means it would need to to rated for at least 24 amps of AC power. The Goal Zero Yeti Lithium 3000 # 287-38400 can provide 12.5 amps. So if you wanted this style of electric generator that basically acts as a battery bank you'd need two of the # 287-38400 to support your power needs. One for each of your Airsense model 10 CPAP machines.
