In regards to the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5G, there is no torque spec for the hex head bolts on the collar. I spoke with Convert-A-Ball and they informed that the bolts need to all be flush and evenly tightened but that is all because there is again no torque specifications for these bolts.

Do the hex bolts in the collar need to be checked/tighened before each pull? Or is it recommended they be checked semiannually or annually?

The instructions don't really say either way. If you will only be using this every once in a while then I'd check it each time you tow. Otherwise if you'll be using this on a regular basis I'd check every couple of times towing just to be on the safe end of things.
