Does Install of Tuson DirecLink Lite Trailer Brake Controller # 335DL-50 Run to Brake Pedal

Question:

I just purchased the Tuson Directlink controller and am installing it on my 2011 Grand Caravan. I have everything connected except the cold side inch of the brake switch to the controller the red wire THe brake switch on this vehicle has 6 or 8 wires going to it. Does this wire need to be connected or does it gets brake pedal information over the CAN bus? Also should the main power wire have a breaker on it. The wiring kit said to refer to the controllers documentation, and it does not say. Thanks fo your help.

The red wire of the Tuson DirecLink Lite Trailer Brake Controller # 335DL-50 does need to wire to the stoplight circuit of your 2011 Grand Caravan. It does not pick up this trigger from the OBDII port although it would awesome if it did!

You would want to us a breaker like 40 amp breaker part # 9510 on the power wire of the controller.
