Will the Thule Hitching Post Pro Clear the Bumper of a 2008 Subaru Forester
Question:
I was going to order the Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack today but a question came up. I will be using this on a 2008 Subaru Forester with a class II 1.25 . With the 1.25 adapter how close will the 2 section be from the rear bumper? Note there is approx. 5 from the hole in the hitch receiver and the outside edge of the bumper. Thank You

You will have no problem using the Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack, # TH934XTR, on your 2008 Subaru Forester. In fact, this is one of our most popular bike racks among our Subaru Forester customers. This bike rack measures 13-1/2 inches from the hitch pin hole to the upright mast leaving you with a comfortable distance of 6-1/2 inches between the bike rack and your bumper/rear hatch. I've attached a demonstration video we made on a Forester for you to check out.
If you plan on carrying any womens or childrens bikes, I recommend using the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT, to carry the bikes safely.
