Can the Fold Down Truck Bed Expander Be Stepped On and Ran Over

Question:

2011 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE 6.5’ When folded down, can it handle being stepped on or things running it over like a dirtbike? Thanks.

The Fold Down Truck Bed Expander part # BX4004-02 which is a fit for a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 is made of stainless steel so it will be durable yes. However, I can't exactly recommend or advise on stepping on it nor running it over with your dirt bike as it is just simply not tested for this. That said, the extender can be removed in under thirty seconds with just two pins (one per side, see photo) removed so this is what I must recommend although I do think you would be alright running it over with your dirt bike tires at the very least .
