Question:

Has there been any improvements to the Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack to accommodate a Roll-X Tonneau cover?

The Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack # DZ951800 uses clamps for installation on your truck side rails which will interfere with basically any tonneau cover out there (I have yet to hear of one that installs without using the side rails), including the BAK Roll-X. While we do have ladder rack solutions that do not use the clamp system, this is a very common style of mounting used for ladder racks and the #1 reason why most ladder racks aren't compatible with most tonneau covers.

I reached out to my contact at BAK Industries and she confirmed that if a ladder rack is known to fit with the newer BAK Revolver tonneau covers (which replaced the Roll-X) then they would work with the Roll-X. Luckily we have some different ladder racks that we know will work with the Revolver but unfortunately they don't offer the ability to hide inside the mounting rails like the Invis-A-Rack. These ladder racks come from Adarac and Thule and both are great options that I wouldn't have a problem recommending.

If you have a 2010 Toyota Tundra that has an 8' bed without Deck Rail System, like what the Invis-A-Rack part number you referenced fits, then you can choose from the following (from the linked selections):

Adarac
Pro Series - # A4001676
Aluminum Series - # A4001675

Thule TracRac SR
With Cantilever - # TH43002XT-011EX
Without Cantilever - # TH43002XT-011

All options feature sliding rails and the main differences are that the Adarac options use standard squared crossbars that have a 500 lb weight capacity while the TracRac SR uses more aero-dynamic crossbars that have a weight capacity of 1,250 lbs.
