Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System For 33 Off Road Tires

Question:

I’m going to build an overland trailer and I want to run 33” tires, possibly 35” tires, on these 2k axle less axles with electric brakes, can these axles handle this? The trailer will be under 1500 pounds loaded and about 5x8.

I do have an option for you but the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/Brake Flange part # ASR2000S02 are not made for that large of a tire. A 33" tire has a section width of 10.04" with a 33" diameter so there will not be enough clearance to use this Timbren system.

I recommend to use the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension part # ASR35HDS02 which is designed for off road tires. It has a 4" lift spindle for clearance. The spindle accepts bearings part # 25580 for the inner and part # 15123 for the outer bearing. The hub will also need an inner seal diameter of 2.125". For the hubs I recommend part # 8-201-9UC3-EZ which has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.
