What Voltage Setting Should Battery Charger Use to Charge 2 6-Volt Batteries Wired in Series

wired 2 6v batteries in series for storage. do I put the charger/maintainer on 6 or 12v

Since you have two 6 volt batteries wired in series which have an output of 12 volts total you'd need to have your battery charger set to 12 volts. You'll attach the charger to the outside posts of the battery bank which carry the 12 volt output.

You'd only use the 6 volt setting if you were charging the batteries individually or in parallel which keeps the voltage the same.
