Stoplight Circuit for Installing Brake Controller Location in 2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
Question:
i have a 09 highlander HYBRID ...with tow pkg, I tested the 4 wires on top of the brake switch ,2 wires have power all the time when engine is on... the blue wire that you show on your video as being the cold side dose not light up when I apply brake??!! please advise... can the red wire from brake controller be attached to the black box side of the t-one connector ?? please help, tnx

One of the wires on your 2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (should be the blue one) should have voltage when the brakes are applied only, but if for some reason that just isn't the case the next best place to find the stoplight circuit would be from the third brake power wire as it similarly only has voltage when the brakes are applied.
That said, one of the red wires of the T-one trailer wiring kit you have installed on your Highlander also would carry just a stoplight circuit so that could work as well. Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to verify this.
