Dimensions of Crossbeam Needed When Installing Timbren Axle Less Kit # ASR35HDS02

Question:

I bought a set of the 3500 lb off-road axles from etrailer a while back and am in the process of installing them now. The trailer is at a friends house several miles away, and I need to pick up the bolts to mount the cross beams before heading up there in the morning. The spec sheets do not list the diameter of the two holes used in each axle socket to mount the cross beam. I suspect they are half inch, but they may be five eighths. Do you have this? It would save me a trip. Also, my trailer will have a total weight of under 3,000 lbs when it is finished. I bought a 2x3 inch mild steel beam with quarter inch wall thickness, and that seems like overkill. Would 3/16 be sufficient? I cant return the beam now. I suppose the extra strength and weight of the 1/4 inch wall thickness tube wont hurt anything, but Id like to get your opinion. Thanks,

I checked with Timbren to see if they could get an exact hole diameter and they said that you could drill holes as needed or weld them to install. A specific hole diameter was not available unfortunately. I asked about the beam dimensions though and they recommended 2 x 3 x 1/4" so what you have now would be great.
