Using Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1240D With Inverter and Solar Panels

Question:

I have built an off the grid expedition vehicle with the following electrical capacities. - Two LiFePO4 batteries Calb cells - 360 Ah total - Solar Roof Panel - 360 Watts-24V, Morningstar Sunsaver MPPT - Magnum ProSine 3000 Hybrid Inverter/Charger - 12V and 110V - Dual 220 amp OEM alternators Dodge RAM 3500 Diesel I would like to add charging from the vehicle alternator. I am planning on the Redarc BCDC1240D. My question: Do I need to do anything special, since the Magnum will provide CC+CV Charging to the batteries when I am plugged into 110V shore power? The Redarc will provide charge to the house batteries when the vehicle battery is above 12.7v. There could be times when the vehicle is running and the shore power is not yet unplugged. Thx

The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1240D is designed to take two DC inputs like your alternators and solar panel so it would work great without requiring additional steps at all. The 110 volt supply you have would not backfeed through this adapter or cause issues if the shore power was not disconnected like you mentioned.
