Platform Bike Rack Recommendation that Can be Used at Rear of Motorhome
Question:
I would like to use this on my pickup as well as my motor home. The video says it is not recommended. Do you know why it is not motor home rated? It looks like a great product at a great price.

The ride at the rear of a motorhome is much rougher than the ride at the rear of a regular passenger vehicle due to the increased length between the rear axle of the vehicle and the rear of the vehicle. This added length exaggerates bumps which puts more strain on bike racks so you have to use a bike rack that was designed to be more reinforced than the Convoy.
So while the Rola Convoy # 59803 is not rated for use at the rear of a motorhome we do have the very similar Hollywood Rack Trail Rider part # HR200Z which is motorhome approved, is priced similarly, and is a really solid choice. This is a 2 bike rack that's very stable and easy to use overall. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well.
