Exterior RV Light Replacement That Can Withstand Rain

Question:

I need to replace an exterior light that is mounted on the front of my trailer. The current light type last until the first big trip in the rain and then needs replacing fills with water. This light looks to be what I need except that it does not have a switch which I need or I would need to run wires to mount a switch inside the trailer. Do you have a sealed light with a switch?

We do have some options for you to consider, although there is not an exterior sealed light that also has a switch. The only truly sealed light is the Optronics LED RV Exterior Scene Light # UCL41CB which is completely waterproof and is an LED light (which have lifetime warranties). It is a simple 2-wire light with one power and one ground wire and you would be able to run wiring for a switch inside your trailer with this light.

The other option, if you do not want to run wires, is the Solar Powered LED Porch Light for RVs # DG0132 (400 lumens) or # DG0168 (800 lumens). These can be set to keep light on all night, stay dim unless motion is detected, or remain totally off until motion is detected. These are weatherproof so you will not need to be concerned about them malfunctioning.

I have added links to video reviews for you to check out on both options.
