Pin Box Replacement for 2010 Montana that Provides Turning Clearance so Slider Hitch Not Needed
Question:
I have a 15 GMC 2500HD short bed I’m running a Demco Slider Hitch if I change to this king pin will I still need the Demco Slider? Also the king pin is going on a 2010 Montana mountaineer if I measure righ5 will this king pin work on my camper

The Trailair pin box part # LC158777 was not designed to provide additional turning clearance so if you were looking for a pin box replacement solution that would give you more turning clearance you'd need the Sidewinder part # RP34FR which fits the same pin box replacement as the Trailair you mentioned and since it moves the pivot point of the trailer back 22 inches you end up with enough turning clearance to not need to use a slider hitch.
Our understanding is that your 2010 Montana Mountaineer uses a Lippert 1116 pin box so spacer kit # RP97FR is also needed to ensure a snug fit.
